Animal Health Announces Promotion of Kevin W. Rassas to President

VGX Animal Health, Inc. (VGXAH),
a leading developer of cutting edge technologies for animal health applications,
today announced the promotion of Kevin W. Rassas to President. The Company
was formed in May 2007 as a subsidiary of VGX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (VGXP).
Mr. Rassas joined VGXAH in May 2007 as Senior Vice President. Mr. Rassas
has over 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including senior
level general management responsibility at Searle and Wyeth. He has a
strong strategic and operational focus with a proven track record of delivering
solid revenue growth and bottom line results. Mr. Rassas has played a
major role in the integration of large and complex businesses and has
instituted numerous programs to improve operating efficiencies. His background
includes significant experience in International Operations P&L Management,
Strategic Planning, Business Development, Finance and Administration,
New Product Introductions and Joint Ventures. He will continue to be Senior
Vice President, Business Development at VGX Pharmaceuticals, which he
joined in 2003.
Dr. J. Joseph Kim, President and CEO of VGX Pharmaceuticals, will remain
on VGX Animal Health as Chairman. Dr. Kim stated, “Kevin has displayed
exceptional leadership since the formation of VGX Animal Health. I am
certain that Kevin will continue to utilize his extensive industry experience
and leadership skills to manage VGX Animal Health’s overall strategy
to become a dynamic global biopharmaceutical company for animal health
applications.”
Mr. Rassas received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University
of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management
at Northwestern University.
